Pitching for the Coca-cola Brrr campaign
The Brrr Campaign's main characters are the "Mayor" and his "Servant". The first TV ad was about the "Mayor" walking in the town streets on a hot summers day with his "Servant" and a crowed following them. The heat is overwhelming and the "Mayer" enters a nearby cafe in search of something to quench his thirst. The till clerk hands him a Coke. The "Mayor" takes a sip... his whole body shakes as his body cooles down immediately and the Brrr! sound escapes from his month!

So, at first the brief was to Illustrate these 2 characters in promotion and prize giving situations.
A style was described to me where I had to over exaggerate body parts. Making the illustration appear as if it was viewed through a sort of a fish eye lens, but still keeping it relatively conservative, so the public will still be able to identify what is illustrated.
I first draw a sketch. When I'm happy with the sketch, I scan it in and start tracing and doing the colour and shading in Adobe Illustrator.
This is the illustration I did as an example for the advertising agency. This is allot of hours spent on own risk, but when done well, pays off in the end... seeing that I got the job.
